STID OFFICIAL MOVIE INTRO:

In Summer 2013, director J.J. Abrams will deliver an explosive action thriller that takes Star Trek Into Darkness.

In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.

As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.

SECRET CRIME: Star Trek's sequel returns for most of the USS Enterprise 1701 crew with a wildcard wreaking havoc upon Earth. Admiral Pike prepares Kirk for the big chair. Star Trek's new timeline features space chases, Klingons with baddie (John Harrison) directing his doomsday weapon of darkness towards Earth, Starfleet's HQ and the USS Enterprise.

THE REASON?  Starfleets commanders have committed a crime by covering up something very, very bad. What deep dark secret is the Federation hiding in  its past? Darkness is coming armed to the teeth with the USS Vengeance fully lock and loaded, so run for cover because now no-one is safe.

Screenplay is written by Alex Kurtzman, Damon Lindelof and Robert Orci. Starring Chris Pine, Benedict Cumberbatch, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, Alice Eve, Peter Weller and Bruce Greenwood.

KEENSERS BACK! Deep Roy starred in Star Trek 2009 as Scottys engineering sidekick and I'm thrilled to report Keensers back!

The Galaxies defenders return to save Earth once again with Captain Kirk, Spock and the entire Enterprise crew "trekking" out to capture those responsible. The movies action trailers are fast and exciting upping the ante on a classic sci-fi franchise spanning nearly 50 years. Abram's: The goal for this movie was to up the ante as much as we could. There were a lot of characters people were anticipating on seeing, Kirk, Spock, Bones, Scotty, Uhura, Chekov and Sulu. IMDB has 3 Star Trek Into Darkness critic reviews here. Who is your favorite Star Trek Into Darkness character? Do you think the hands 'farewell' will make you cry? Now we know how Scotty feels holding the Enterprise together until Captain Kirk gives the final order.

She can't take much more of this! The ship will blow up!

"It's a lot of fun. I love Kirk," said Chris Pine recently. "Kirk's a man of passion who's ruled by his heart. He'll go from crying to laughing to yelling to loving, and I just love his passion."

"I used to watch Star Trek reruns as a kid. I always enjoyed it," said Karl Urban, who plays Leonard H. "Bones" McCoy, as the Enterprises Chief Medical Officer. "It's kind of surreal to be a part of this amazing re-adventure."

Zachary Quinto: It was Pretty magical to see what they were able to create this time. I think its stunningly beautiful.

Chris Pine: The word people keep coming back to is relentless. Theres one thing after another after another. "I'd say the threat is even greater in this one. The force [the enterprise crew] are met with is much more frightening."

Zoe Saldana: This is the kind of film that 3D is made for.
                      "We're outgunned, outnumbered!"

In a statement years ago, J. J. Abrams said: "If there's something I'm dying to see, it's the brilliance and optimism of Gene Roddenberry's world brought back to the big screen," said Abrams. "Alex and Bob wrote an amazing script that embraces and respects Trek canon, but charts its own course. Our goal is to make a picture for everyone — Needless to say, I am honored and excited to be part of this next chapter of Star Trek."

Although it has great special effects, it fails on the technical aspects, the time element cancels all previous facts we have all grown to know about Kirk and Spock, and doesn't correct the time issue.

In an earlier post, I clearly illustrate my concerns in this matter (Vulcan being at the top of the alien worlds hit list) I reckon Star Trek Into Darkness was designed to be a really fun movie. You have to admit Khan's dialogue is awesome.
