Starfleet Uniforms

U is for Star Trek uniform. Is yours ready for trekking into darkness?

In Star Trek's classic series, uniforms consisted of black pants, boots, and tunics in gold, red, and blue. In our new age of technology Starfleet uniforms can now be complete, all the way down to your feet! Gold is for command personnel, blue for science, red for security and engineering.

Trek fans have the option of wearing pants or dresses similar to those seen in any of Star Trek's series, so get kitted out to your socks!

What Starfleet colors will you be sporting at the movies premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness on May 17th?

All uniform's have the Enterprises arrowhead insignia sewn above the left breast. Gold braid on the sleeve denotes rank depending on how many rows or broken rows there are. Just don't forget your communicator.

Two to beam in, Scotty!

U is for Star Trek Uniforms

U is for Star Trek UNIFORM. Heres an email fom Trekker fan David which trek fans should know the answer to. Why did Klingons change from the original blokes with beards and silver vests to the Worf types of today? You'll love the answer Brent Spiner (Data) gave which is a real Stumper.

"Well they're talking about the difference between what they looked like on the original series and what they look like now. Obviously technology increased and makeup techniques increased but also the budgets of the shows increased. "(So far so good Brent, now here it comes!)

"You know The Original Series costumes were made by the actors mothers!"

Now come on! I didn't fall for that, DID YOU?

I heard the interviewers chuckling at his theory which was of course one of Spiner's gags. So the interviewer says "No but seriously." sadly Brent has to come clean.

"NO" he admits, before finally having a quiet laugh himself.

Keep on Star Trekking!
